Feeding your baby should feel empowering, not overwhelming—and we’re here to make sure it does. Your Initial Consultation at The Feeding Studio is all about real support, real answers, and real connection. Whether you’re just starting out, troubleshooting challenges, or looking to tweak your routine, this session is your personalized roadmap to a more confident, joyful feeding experience.

What We’ll Cover (Depending on Your Needs):

  • Finding Your Flow
Support with latch, positioning, bottle feeding, pumping, and combination feeding strategies that work for you and your baby.

  • Troubleshooting Challenges
Struggling with soreness, supply questions, bottle refusal, slow weight gain, or any other bumps in the road? We’ll problem-solve together.

  • Craniosacral Therapy
When appropriate, your consultation may include gentle Craniosacral Therapy—a light-touch technique that can help release tension that may be impacting feeding, comfort, and movement. Your nurse will discuss whether this approach may be beneficial for your baby as part of your individualized care plan.

  • Feeding Plans That Fit
We’ll build a plan based on your unique goals—whether that's exclusive breastfeeding, formula feeding, pumping, or a combination of methods.

  • Real Talk About Expectations
We'll cover what’s normal (and what’s not), common myths, growth spurts, feeding cues, and setting realistic expectations for your baby's needs.

  • Partner & Support Involvement
We welcome your partner or support person to join—feeding is a family journey, and they’ll leave feeling ready to help too.

  • Community & Resources
You'll leave with tools, resources, and ongoing support options, because feeding is a journey—not a one-time event.

Ongoing Support After Your Visit

Your support doesn’t end when your consultation does. Following your Initial Consultation, you’re welcome to reach out with any questions or concerns related to your feeding plan within the next 48 hours. Your nurse is happy to clarify recommendations, answer quick questions, or help you feel more confident putting your plan into practice. If new concerns arise, additional assessment is required, or significant changes are needed, your nurse may recommend a follow-up consultation for more comprehensive support.
